5 Tips to Fall in Love with your Life Every Day

When we think of love some of us think of the romantic, sweep us off our feet kind of love that can send us on an emotional rollercoaster ride. The emotional highs are just as intense as the emotional lows. So, does the rollercoaster truly serve us? Does the risk of being hurt outweigh the benefit of head over heels love?

 

I have been there. I didn’t even know that getting off of the rollercoaster was an option until my mentor told me and I thought, “Why didn’t I think of that?” It sounded so simple coming from someone else. So in case you need to hear it too, I give you permission to get off of the roller coaster and start searching for love in the places that will cultivate more joy in your life than you ever imagined.

 

Somewhere along the line we get the idea that love comes from somewhere outside of us and it needs to be found. But, what if I told you there was a better way? What if I told you that it is possible to feel amazing every single day? I know, the first time I heard that I thought it was some sort of joke. Nobody is happy all the time – right?

Wrong.

Let me tell you about the practice of gratitude. Gratitude means allowing yourself to fully accept what currently is. Through gratitude we can find ourselves living more in the moment and appreciating what is right about our current situations. When we learn to be grateful, then we open the doors to receiving more peace, more inspiration, and more abundance into our lives. Ultimately this attracts more love. The kind of love that is unconditional and unwavering. The kind of love that makes us joyful to the point of smiling for no reason and every reason all at the same time. We owe it to ourselves to invite this joy and love and peace into our world. We deserve this.

 

Here are 5 tips for how you can invite more love into your life through the practice of Gratitude:

1.       Write down what you are grateful for every morning.

2.       Meditate.

3.       Be Present.

4.       Write a card to someone you haven’t spoken to in a while.

5.       Include 1 random act of kindness in your life each day.

When we are clear about where our love is coming from, it is easy to be a cheerleader for love.
